This practical prescriptive workshop will expose participants to the underlying and fundamental principles of Warehouse and Stores Management and the essential skills required to manage the transitioning warehouse during and through the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond inclusive of other challenging and uncertain circumstances.
All participants attending this workshop will understand the strategic role of warehousing in the structured and integrated supply chain network of the organization.

Understanding the Role of the Strategic Warehousing.
Understanding & Implementing Appropriate Material Storage , SOPs’, Systems and Procedures.
Implementing and Executing Warehousing Operations.
Identification of Optimal Warehouse Location and Layout.
Understanding and Implementing Stock Control Methodology & Techniques.
Utilization of Material Handling Systems and Equipment.
Implementing Health, Safety and Security on the Warehouse.
Implementing Performance Measurement and Improving Effectiveness.
Upon completion, participants should be able to:
Identify and understand the basic warehouse set-up and position warehouse process flow for optimization of limited resources.
Understand and implement warehouse management processes as part of the accounts payable process.
Accurately implement and measure warehouse operations performance objectives.
Identify the pivotal role of warehousing in the management of an organization’s supply chain.
Implement proper processes and documentation including stocking basics, cycle counts, periodic stock takes, use of min-max systems and creation of inventory audit trail report.
Use of stock classification and stock coding to monitor and control inventory levels and inventory costs
Recognize the principles of warehouse or stores location and layout whilst applying proper stock flow, rotation and recording.
